What this means to me is that some, not all, people with depression have a grasp on what the reality in the world actually is. The sadness, the horror, the loneliness with very few days of rest to refuel and see joy and happiness in the world.
You grow up with wanting the world to be great, where no one gets hurt. You grow into a world where your heart feels like it’s dying with every beat. Some days it is as if you are making your heartbeat to keep you alive and you’re not sure of the reason.
The stupidity that I see daily and encounter on the street just makes me wonder how in the world the human race made it this far. Reminds me of the movie “Idiocracy” where the stupid outweigh the smart and eventually they feed plants a sports drink because of electrolytes instead of water. Like, STOP driving while texting or even looking at your phone. If you go to a place, respect what’s going on!
Stop being rude because you feel like you deserve the respect you never gave.
To see humanity for what it is, is saddening and no one ever wants to listen when you try to explain to them why it is that way.
In the end, the people that can do something to change it all don’t care. However, some of the little guys care more than others ever will. About what is happening all around us. We don’t stand up, we stay on our phones, we don’t raise our voices because then the fear in their eyes would be known.
